General information
You must register and make the conference payment to present your oral talk or poster.
All presenters are encouraged to submit a full manuscript of their work for publication in the Workshop Proceedings.
Instructions for presenters of oral talks
Presenters are kindly requested to meet their session chairman in the meeting room 10 minutes before the scheduled session in order to download their presentation to the computer. They have to provide the session chairman with a PowerPoint or PDF presentation, as well as a short (10-line maximum) printed biography. Authors must assure that all fonts needed are embedded in their presentation files.
The files can be downloaded to the computer from a USB memory stick. The use of the presenter’s computer will not be allowed, in order for sessions to run smoothly.
Time for regular oral presentations is 15 minutes (about 12 to 15 slides maximum), and presenters are strongly advised to keep this in mind. In addition, there are 5 minutes for discussion with the audience, including changeover with the next presenter.
Plenary talk speakers have 35 minutes for the presentation, in addition to 5 minutes for discussion with the audience, including changeover with the next presenter.
The stage for the presenters is equipped with a timer, to help the presenter stay on time. The timer is controlled by the session chairmen. The session chairmen will stop talks that go over the allocated time.
Please keep in mind that the quality of the workshop depends on your presentation!
Therefore:
- Make it original and novel
- Keep it informative
- Structure it well, where aims and findings are visible
- Do not play with fancy colors for background and text (the conference room is big and the back rows of the audience also want to see your presentation)
