Presentation awards

Following the tradition established at the 12th workshop (QSAR2006 in Lyon), an award is given to the best oral and poster presentations given by students.

Election of the best oral and poster presentations at QSAR2012 is sponsored by the Taylor & Francis Group and the winners will have their registration refunded.

Best oral presentation award

For the best oral presentation award, a dedicated group of senior scientists will evaluate presentations during the sessions and choose the nominee.

Best poster award

During the conference, a dedicated group of senior scientists will evaluate posters and nominate the student who will receive the best poster award. With this award, the nominee will be given the opportunity to present her/his research in a short oral communication. Therefore, all candidates for the poster award are asked to be ready for an oral communication.

Time allocated for oral communication is strictly 10 minutes. Therefore please prepare presentation in PowerPoint respecting the following structure

  • Slide #0: Title of the work, names(s), address(es)’
  • Slide #1: Introduction + including purpose of your study
  • Slide #2: Materials and methods
  • Slide #3: Key results
  • Slide #4: Conclusion + Acknowledgement

Your presentations must be ready on USB memory-stick.

On Thursday, at the end of the Session 11, 15:40 – 16.10, student award election results will be announced and after announcement you will be given opportunity for the oral communication. Therefore please be in the audience at that time. If you are not present the award goes to next consecutive student, named by the election committee.
